A respected salon operator and professional trainer, Spoke SLO’s co-owner and Color Director Christine Thompson specializes in plant-derived, biodegradable premium haircare and color.

She has worked closely with natural product lines as a consultant and with stylists and clientele training, coloring and styling since 1990. She opened Spoke SLO’s first location, then called Salon Lux, on Broad Street in 1997.
Christine specializes in corrective color and color change as well as progressive color techniques (balayage, ombre, dimensional, melting). Her impeccable eye and decades of experience insure a color service that is custom-tailored to each guest and which grows out beautifully over time.

Christine serves clientele in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Luis Obispo where she lives with her husband, speedway racer and award-winning custom motorcycle builder, Brian Thompson, her son Cole, and daughter, Ginger. For more on Christine Thompson, visit


Jon Reyman, Owner

As the lead stylist for up to 30 shows every New York Fashion Week, Jon is a seasoned hair director and collaborative partner to some of the most relevant and influential designers in the industry including Carolina Herrera, Betsey Johnson, and Nautica. His work has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, WWD, GQ, Cosmopolitan, and Elle. He has appeared on Project Runway, The Apprentice, and Good Morning America.

From behind the chair, Jon serves a rolling list of celebrities and professionals including Lana Del Rey, Paris Hilton, Christina Milian, and Sienna Miller.

More than anything, Jon values professional education and advancement, ever pushing collaboration and craftsmanship in the hair industry. Using technical and creative skills to empower people on an individual level is what drives Jon further into his work.
